To what purpose, and the end of what? To keep it from the Taliban? Not sure why that would help, unless we stayed indefinitely. To assist in evacuation? I can’t speak to the value of that compared to Kabul. To continue to support counterterrorism operations? But I think we decided we did not want to be fighting there anymore, and surrounded by Taliban, we would have. Otherwise, I would think the point of staying anywhere is to protect the populace, where Kabul is clearly more important, if we were to stay anywhere.
