Do you just go around charging “deception” every time you see a map that has not been normalized for all possible factors? Maps are meant for specific purposes; no map is good for all purposes. This map is good for this purpose. Educating everyone on population density is a good purpose, but it is not my concern at the moment. And the fact that I am not emphasizing the factor you consider most important does not mean I am engaged in “deception”.
